Patients are all unique so I take an open-minded approach to the way I practice optometry. I want my patients to be informed from a health perspective and I want to engage and interact with them to help them maintain their personal ocular health. I want my patients to be prophylactic in their approach to disease so I’m proactive in the event of any eye health concerns.
Optometry, in my opinion, is the perfect blend of health and fashion. It may be cliche, but eyes really are windows into the body and reveal so much about a person’s health. The most interesting part about eyes is that no two eyes are alike. Each eye is different and independent from one another, they work together in sync, except in those rare cases where they don’t.
I like where the field of optometry is going in that there have been numerous technological advancements that have become available for us to better maintain good ocular health. The advancements have also let us better diagnose and manage diseases resulting in better long-term prognosis.
